On view through 2 December 2020 at the Serralves Foundation in Porto is an exhibition on Álvaro Siza that has been organized as part of observance of the 20th anniversary of the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art, a work of the Portuguese master. Curated by Nuno Grande and Carlos Muro, the show presents Siza’s career of over 60 years through 30 projects designed between 1954 and 2019, some built and some not.
The accompanying catalog offers a large selection of drawings, sketches, and personal annotations of Siza dating back to the time the projects on display were conceived, carried out, or completed, along with texts about Siza’s architecture that various collaborators of his have contributed.
