Organized by the Spanish multinational Grupo Cosentino, this competition is open to architecture and design students anywhere in the world. In the Architecture category this year, contestants are to develop proposals revolving around the theme ‘To Live the Urban Space (Street Room).’ In the Design category, the topic is ‘Cosentino and Local Tradition: Contemporary Craftsmanship.’
Projects must use at least one Cosentino producto (Silestone® quartz surface, Dekton® ultra-compact surface, and/or the Sensa by Cosentino® natural stone line that is highly resistant to stain), and be submitted only electronically, by 1 June 2020, via the competition web page,
cosentinodesignchallenge.org, where the legal terms have been published. The Cosentino Centers and Cosentino Cities located around the world will welcome participants wanting to be shown the company’s wide range of products.
Three first prizes and three second prizes will be given in each category. Each of the six first prizes will come with a money award of 1,000 euros. The winners will be announced in June 2020 and exhibited in some of the collaborating schools and Cosentino centers.
